Our client, an established online music retail brand is seeking an eCommerce Manager to work with record companies and distributers to improve eCommerce strategies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting daily store management using eCommerce best practice.
  • Formulating and executing D2C strategies that drive store awareness and conversions and enhance customer experience.
  • Performing day-to-day operations management of webstores.
  • Ensuring products are set up, listed, images sourced, correct prices, and products are in stock.
  • Using data and analytics to merchandise store pages and departments to optimise conversion.
  • Ensuring store interface, banners, offers, and buy buttons are appropriate and effective.
  • Liaising with UK eCommerce supply chain to ensure products are kept in stock.
  • Identifying opportunities to monetise assets of creatives across labels across new product ranges from catalogue music.
  • Working closely with third parties to ensure exclusive products to sell.
  • Managing the web store release schedule together with label contacts.
  • Managing the product and launch schedule.
  • Reporting profitability, sales, and stock in conjunction with record contacts.
  • Developing new methods of generating revenue via the webstore and third-party distributers and labels.
  • Working with the label marketing and commercial departments to ensure these areas are integrated into eCommerce initiatives.
  • Working with media planning and marketing agencies to ensure marketing, paid spend, and digital strategies drive traffic and conversion sufficiently.
  • Collaborating with eCRM teams to ensure webstore is appropriately marketed to artist databases.
  • Managing relationships with key partners that include, labels, warehouse teams, artist managers, ticket agencies, procurement and merchandise companies as well as finance, and tech teams.
  • Reporting sales trends and store activity to key stakeholders and ad hoc presentation of store development.
  • Keeping up to date with eCommerce developments and good practice in the retail sphere.
  • Analysing store conversion date and analytics to drive data led strategies across D2C and eCommerce.

Requirements:

  • Commercial and analytical approach to business with a background in eCommerce retail.
  • Demonstrable ability to achieve store revenue targets and use CRM to drive eCommerce sales.
  • Robust understanding of eCommerce best practice.
  • Comprehensive understanding of music product commercial opportunities.
  • Adept at music new release product campaigns and evergreen merchandising or artist webstores.
  • Excellent understanding of consumer online experience on various eCommerce platforms.
  • Paid media experience within a retail brand.
  • Retail/eCommerce experience including fulfilment operations desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritise workload and coordinate work streams across multiple time zones.
  • Good liaison capabilities across third parties and foreign territories.
  • Experience of record label process, ticketing/live music structure, and contact across labels and distributors desirable.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Photoshop software.
  • Basic HTML skills to set up store front end experiences, HTML5 and CSS a plus.
  • Knowledge of google analytics and other major analytics platforms, and track record of using this data to make strategic decisions.
  • Shopify and project management tool experience.
  • Interest in consumer insight and the impact of product offerings, as well as music such as indie/rock preferable.
