Our client, a well-established talent management company with a focus on entertainment, is seeking a Management Accountant to work within the Finance Department and liaise with Artist Managers. This role is based full-time in their central London office.


Key responsibilities will include:


• Working within the Management department and liaising with Artist Manager and their Assistants daily.
• Preparing monthly management account, to include variance analysis (budget and PY) and associated commentary on key drivers.
• Understanding internal income drivers and liaising with other Management Accountants in the team.
• Monthly reconciliation of COS working with the client payment team to understand variances and identifying errors.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including clear downs and full reconciliation of all GL codes.
• Assisting with preparation of annual budget and re-forecasts.
• Monitoring cash-flow and forecasting.
• Ensuring sufficient cash is held for payment of overheads.
• Monitoring timely payment of recharges across the group.
• Overseeing group companies’ overhead costs, audit accruals etc.
• Controlling of management debt.
• Coordinating meetings with Management Assistant and client payments team.
• Drafting debtors reports on a monthly basis.
• Serving as the main point of contact for auditors for the management business.
• Overseeing the preparation of the annual financial statements.
• Posting corporation tax journals and reconciliation of numbers.
• Conducting quarterly VAT returns for the group.
• Assisting with preparing annual P11D/PSA returns for review.
• Reporting RBS to the bank, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Authorising payments.
• Handling credit card administration.
• Maintaining quarterly Directors’ current account reporting.
• Managing intercompany recharges and WIP.
• Maintaining a robust financial controls’ environment.
• Regularly reviewing processes and controls to identify efficiencies.
• Serving as the main point of contact for any queries in relation to client income and client cash from key stakeholders and overheads.
• Conducting routine brand analysis.
• Providing ad hoc entity specific project reporting and analysis.
• Managing a Finance Assistant to ensure the accurate and timely posting of purchase and sales ledger transactions.
• Ensuring the Finance Assistant is able to complete timely payment runs, credit card reconciliation, travel invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
• Supporting and developing junior members of the Finance team.

Requirements:


• Previous Management Accountant experience.
• Able to self-review of work.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong time management and prioritisation of tasks.
• Able to manage expectations of stakeholders.
• Able to communicate and respond to emails in a timely manner.
• Experience with reviewing process improvements and enhancing the quality of information.
• Good understanding of conceptually why activities are done, not just processes.
