Our client, a global music company, is seeking a Rights/Conflicts/Suspense Manager to provide temporary cover until the end of the year.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working extensively to support departments that range across rights conflict resolution, legal business affairs, Royalties and commercial teams.
  • Providing effective support for the company’s global operations processes, resolving conflicts with third-party rights holders.
  • Facilitating any necessary rights confirmations with repertoire owners’ business affairs teams, by triaging as appropriate and ensuring in-house rights system is updated.
  • Ensuring conflicts are designated priority and/or escalated as required.
  • Producing and disseminating reports on rights system processes’ performance.
  • Monitoring closely company rights clean-up projects, producing reports, as necessary.
  • Distributing practical information on in-house software to relevant users, working with technical teams to refine rights conflict expertise.
  • Engaging continually in company dialogues that assess the efficiency of rights conflicts and suspense files processes.


  • Solid experience in music/rights management role.
  • Experience handling rights disputes at dominant music licencing businesses desirable.
  • Cross-functional management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects at once using time management abilities.
  • Capable of identifying and coordinating data projects to deadlines.
  • Proven presentation and document drafting skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
